GPS Time Tracking for Spectrum ERP

Get GPS-verified payroll costs into Spectrum

Workyard time tracking software integrates into Spectrum ERP, giving you automated, hyper-accurate job costing and payroll workflows instantly.

At a glance

Workyard is the most powerful construction time tracker on the market. It gives contractors real-time visibility into labour costs on a worker-by-worker and project-by-project basis. Spectrum users can now use the power of Workyard to automatically send payroll to Spectrum and automate billing of hours against Spectrum projects. No admin, no data entry.

Import worker hours instantly

Hyper-accurate GPS-verified hours can be automatically billed back to Spectrum jobs or phases, saving you time on manual data entry.

Reduce Manual Errors

Labour cost errors hurt margins, but Workyard eliminates re-keying errors by syncing with Spectrum via API.

Perfect data match between tools

Spectrum Job, Phase, Employee and Vendor data can be imported into Workyard, so you see the same data across both tools.

Why Use Workyard with Spectrum ERP?

Eliminate manual data entry

Time tracked in Workyard flows directly into Spectrum. It is broken out into regular, OT, and double time. The result? Fewer payroll errors, faster payroll runs, less admin overhead.

Get hyper-accurate job costing

Projects, jobs, cost codes, and phases are all imported from Spectrum into Workyard, so you know field teams are using the same structure as your office staff. This ensures labor hours are coded correctly at the source. The result? Cleaner labor cost data, fewer manual billing adjustments and more reliable job cost reports in Spectrum.

Bridge the gap between field ops and back office

Workyard captures updates from field teams, while Spectrum remains the system of record for back office. The integration aligns the two without forcing either team to change tools. The result? Everyone is working off the same data, with fewer disputes and reconciliations.

Scale without increasing back-office headcount

As headcount and project volume grow, manual syncing between time tracking and ERP tools becomes a bottleneck. The integration automates data flow for workers (W-2 and 1099), vendors, and job structures. The result? The business can grow payroll and project volume without proportional increases in admin staff.

FAQS

All your

Spectrum ERP

questions answered.

How can I get worker hours and job costings into Spectrum ERP without manual data entry or errors?

The only way to truly get accurate labour costs broken down into project costs is using construction-specific time tracking software like Workyard. Such software not only uses GPS and other technologies to ensure hours worked data is accurate, it can also use GPS to tag worker hours to specific job sites, saving double on admin: less time manually entering worker hours, and less time spent coding those hours to each project a worker worked on.

What data syncs between Workyard and Spectrum, and in which direction?

The integration is directional by design. On a per worker basis, Workyard can send:

- regular hours

- overtime hours

- double time hours

- project / job code

- cost code / phase

- any notes entered on worker's timecard

Spectrum can send Workyard:

- project / job code

- cost code / phase

- worker details for both W-2 and 1099 workers.

This ensures:

- field crews working in Workyard have the exact same job list and cost code structure as used in Spectrum to maximise data accuracy.

- Onboarding or staffing changes can be pulled into Workyard from Spectrum via API; reduces administrative overhead and errors.

- Ensures any job changes/cost code updates in Spectrum get reflected in Workyard, ensuring crews use up-to -date job codes / cost codes regardless of which tool they use.

How does Workyard ensure time is coded correctly to jobs, cost codes, and phases?

Because job data is imported directly from Spectrum, field teams can only select from approved projects, jobs, cost codes, and phases. This reduces free-text entry and mismatches. Time cards must be tagged correctly in Workyard before they can be exported to Spectrum, which helps catch errors before payroll or job costing.

Does this integration support overtime and double time rules?

Yes. Workyard exports regular time, overtime, and double time separately into Spectrum’s pre-time card batches. This allows Spectrum to apply payroll rules correctly without manual rework.

What is required to set up the Spectrum integration, and how long does it take?

Requirements: access to a computer and internet connection, access to your Spectrum account and an active Workyard Enterprise plan.

Setup is initiated by contacting Workyard Support, and whilst actual setup time depends on your Spectrum environment, the integration usually only takes 1-2 days to complete. There is no custom development or deep technical skills beyond basic computer skills required on the customer side.
