This question is about Clockify Review, Clock-In Clock-Out Apps and Time Clock Apps for Small Business.
How To Share Clockify
Here’s how to share Clockify reports:
- Filter the report to show the data you want to share.
- Click the Share icon.
- Name the report (this name will be used in emails, on the report page, and in exports).
- Choose whether to lock the dates so the viewer can’t change them.
- Decide if the report should be public (viewable with a Clockify account).
- If the report is for a relative date range like “Last Month,” you can check “Always open as last month,” so it always shows the latest data.
- You can schedule the report to be emailed daily, weekly, or monthly to you or other recipients.
- Copy the generated link and send it to others.
When others open the shared report link:
- The report will have the applied filters and look the same as when you created it.
- It will show live data that updates as you log more time.
- If you didn’t lock the dates, they can view data for other dates.
You can personalize PDF reports by uploading your company logo in workspace settings. This will replace the Clockify logo.
To share reports with people outside your Clockify workspace, you’ll need to set up email forwarding in your email client.
Compared to other apps designed to track employee time and attendance, Clockify offers much more dynamic reporting. It excels at sharing live reports via private links, allowing users to lock date ranges and ensure that viewers see up-to-date information without the ability to edit.
Here’s how it compares to two of its closest competitors–Jobber and Homebase:
- Jobber, designed for service-based businesses, offers reporting features that facilitate sharing with team members and clients, focusing on operational insights rather than real-time data. Learn more about it here: Jobber Review.
- Homebase, tailored for hourly and shift-based workers, provides scheduling and time-tracking reports that can be shared with team members. However, it primarily emphasizes employee management rather than project-based reporting. Get more insights into this software here: Homebase Review.
- Overall, while all three tools facilitate report sharing, Clockify’s live, dynamic reporting capabilities make it particularly advantageous for project tracking compared to Jobber’s and Homebase’s more static reporting.
Sharing reports with your team isn’t the only way Clockify fosters collaboration. You can also integrate it with Pumble, an employee communication app where your team can discuss the shared reports and their implications.
The insights from Clockify’s reports allow the team to collaborate on optimizing time tracking and project management while promoting transparency across the organization.
