How it works

Step by step guide

STEP 1

Create account

Signup for a free trial

STEP 2

Connect QuickBooks

Go to the Integrations page, click connect QuickBooks and log into QuickBooks to allow Workyard to sync data.

STEP 3

Sync users & projects

Navigate to the employees page, and click Import to sync Employees from QuickBooks to Workyard. You will be prompted to select which records you would like to be synced. You can also sync Projects and Cost Codes by following the same procedure on those respective pages. Projects synced will have geofences automatically created based on the addresses stored in QuickBooks.

STEP 4

Invite users

Add team members to your Workyard account so they can track time and fill timesheets.

STEP 5

Clock time

Your employees will be invited to download the app. Get you team clocking in and out every day to record time accurately.

STEP 6

Send time to QuickBooks

Go to the Time Cards page, click Export. Next select the Pay Period you would like to export. All time cards broken down by job and service item will be electronically sent to QuickBooks.

How do I set up this integration?

Setting up the integration takes less than a minute. It's as simple as providing your Intuit username and password to link Workyard with your QuickBooks Online account. From there, we'll be able to automatically import your QuickBooks data and export timesheets for payroll.

Does QuickBooks have a timekeeping system?

QuickBooks has its own timekeeping system called QuickBooks Time (formerly known as Tsheets). QuickBooks Time is a broadly focused timekeeping system designed to cater for a wide range of industries including retail, healthcare, and many more industries. In contrast, Workyard has been specifically designed for construction, contractors, and field services companies. With Workyard, you get automated GPS time tracking, built-in job tracking, and scheduling all baked into one product. Where do I access the timesheets in QuickBooks Online?

Timesheets exported from our system will be instantly available in the standard weekly timesheets view within QuickBooks Online. From there you can use those timesheets to run payroll, run job costing reports, and also bill clients with the QuickBooks invoicing module.
