How to Clock in on Time Doctor
To clock in on Time Doctor, follow these simple steps:
- Open Time Doctor: Launch the Time Doctor app on your device (available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android).
- Sign In: Use your login credentials to sign into your account.
- Select Task: In the Time Doctor dashboard, choose the task you’re working on. If your organization uses projects, you can also select the project to which the task belongs. This allows for better tracking and organization of time spent on specific tasks.
- Start Tracking: Click the Start button to begin tracking your work time. Time Doctor will run in the background and automatically calculate the time spent on the task. You can minimize the app while you work, and it will continue tracking without interruption.
- Track Idle Time: If you take a break or become idle, Time Doctor has built-in idle time detection, so it will automatically stop tracking your time when it detects inactivity. This feature ensures that only active work time is recorded.
- Stop Tracking: Once you’ve completed the task or need to take a break, simply click the Stop button. This will stop tracking and ensure that your recorded time accurately reflects the time spent on the task.
Automatic Time Tracking (Optional)
You can enable automatic tracking, which starts tracking time as soon as you log in to your device and stops when you log out or turn off your computer. This option helps ensure that no time is missed, particularly for those who prefer automated time management.
Whether you work remotely or in-office, Time Doctor helps streamline time tracking and provides valuable insights for both employees and managers.
