What Time Can Construction Start in Ohio?
Construction start times in Ohio vary by city. Most allow work from 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Middleburg Heights has weekend and holiday restrictions, South Euclid limits Saturday work to 8 a.m.–6 p.m., and Dublin permits extensions with approval.
Here’s a breakdown for different areas:
General Rule: Construction operations may only occur between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. All equipment must be operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and with standard noise-reducing equipment in proper order.
Middleburg Heights: Construction work and materials delivery are allowed Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Sundays and holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day), work is allowed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., but this is only for arterial streets and highways, and requires permission from the Service Director.
South Euclid: Construction is permitted only between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Dublin: Construction operations may only occur between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. The City Manager may extend these hours upon written request.
